Blair Clark:
President

Blair Clark is the president and founder of the Grasslands Group of Companies. He is a management and business development specialist with over 30 years experience within the staffing, manufacturing, testing, training, retail and agribusiness sectors. He has achieved success as an entrepreneur and business owner and continues to have a keen ability to identify and pursue business trends. Blair has a first-hand knowledge of western Canada and its labour market and is highly involved in the day-to-day activities of SmartHire.ca.

Blair is the President of the Saskatchewan Chapter of Association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services (A.C.S.E.S.S.) and his Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation recognizes the highest level of staffing industry knowledge and experience in North America.

Dan Gobeil, RPR, CHRP Candidate:
Recruitment Specialist

Daniel holds a BA from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR). Dan is a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Human Resource Professional (SAHRP) and has completed the Canadian Council of Human Resource Associations' (CCHRA) designation program as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). He has also completed the Human Resources Advanced Diploma at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST).

Dan's extensive experience includes retail and operations management in logistics and distribution, aviation and transport industries specializing in recruiting. Dan's area of concentration is in Agribusiness, Aviation and Ground Transport, Finance, Mining and Manufacturing.

Dona Plewis:
Account Manager

Dona is an administrative specialist with over 15 years experience within the pipeline, agribusiness, and staffing sectors. Dona has a Business Management Certificate from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). She has completed her Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) training and is currently pursuing her Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation through the Association of Canadian Search, Employment, and Staffing Services (ACSESS). Gaining experience as a Search Specialist/Researcher, she has recently transitioned into a business development/account management role.

Throughout her tenure, Dona has been hands-on in most aspects of the SmartHire.ca^® business and has become knowledgeable of the challenges facing western Canadian employers. This understanding is applied when assisting clients in developing customized solutions to their specific recruitment challenge(s) - based on the position, location, and budget. These options include recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) services, psychometric testing, and/or permanent placement.

Carolynn Chow, BA:
Search Specialist

Carolynn holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan. Her abilities to recognize patterns and traits in human behavior have assisted her progression to the Human Resources profession. Carolynn began her career as an Accounting and Administrative Assistant. She progressed quickly to the Human Resources Manager position with a privately owned Oil and Gas Service Company. Carolynn is an Associate Member of the HRIA (Human Resources Institute of Alberta) and plans to complete her CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation in 2010.

Carolynn joins the SmartHire.ca^® team as the Search Specialist. She will continue to build an extensive sourcing catalogue a resource for the Candidate Sourcing Strategy service. Her experience with resume recognition, career patterns and career seeker evaluation, as well as advertising and media sourcing will assist in bringing more qualified career seekers to your team.
